If you would like to upgrade your current CAST configuration to add the following capabilities, please let us know how we can assist you.
Anti-Jam Testing
The CAST interference generation system provides repeatable support for testing anti-jam performance of GPS receivers.
The system enables the user to specify jamming levels and signal transmission characteristics for broadband and narrowband jammers.
The CAST interference generation system may be operated in standalone mode or may be used as a supplement to a CAST simulator.
When augmenting a CAST simulator with the interference generator option, the user may emulate jamming threats that occur in hostile environments using their simulator inside a chamber or test laboratory.
The system maintains up to eight independently controlled jamming signals - each
assigned a unique speed, altitude, and trajectory profile. Modulation types on the interfering signal can be
commanded dynamically. Narrowband operating modes include Continuous Wave, Pulsed Continuous Wave, Swept Continuous
Wave, FM Noise, Pulsed FM Noise, and Wideband Noise.
Real-Time Testing
The Real-Time Trajectory Input option allows the user to send six-degree of freedom vehicle trajectory data to CAST simulators via Ethernet or SCRAMNet from an external source per CAST Real-Time ICD.
Additional SVs
Additional satellites can be added in increments of 12 or 16 SVs.
P(Y) Code
P(Y) Code simulation is fully controllable and dynamic including full control of dither and epsilon parameters.
Our simulation is a mathematical model that simulates the classified aspects of the P(Y) Code signal and adjusts the GPS RF signal accordingly.
Using the provided keying connectors, the user may key the simulator to explore P(Y) Code receiver performance.
SBAS Simulation
SBAS models may be utilized for evaluating GPS receivers with WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS and India’s GAGAN project
SBAS accuracy augmentation. The SBAS models provided are in accordance via RTCA DO-229 MOPS (Minimum Operational
Performance Standards) specification.
The user may specify and simulate up to two SBAS satellites during a simulation run. SBAS corrections may be applied
for inaccuracies due to the Ionosphere, Ephemeris Errors, SV Clock Errors, RAIM Events and Selective Availability.
Terrain Obscuration Program (TOP)
TOP provides a real-time check of satellite visibility due to terrain surrounding the GPS receiver.
The user interface depicts the terrain topology being simulated in the run.
The terrain is dynamically presented with the observation point relative to the vehicle location.
SAASM
The SAASM capability enables the user to fully simulate the red/black key management module.
By embedding SAASM relevant bytes into Navigation Message subframes and performing the necessary encryption task on the GPS signal,
CAST provides critical elements for testing SAASM and ensuring compliance with NAVWAR requirements.
M-Code
Enhance your simulator with the capability to generate M-Noise, Pseudo M-code, or SDS (Simulator Data Sets) M-code.
L2C
Enables testing the new L2C signals including the two multiplexed codes, CM and CL, according to IS-GPS-200.
L5
Enables testing the new L5 signal according to ICD-GPS-705 including two PRN ranging codes- the in-phase code (I5-code) and quadrature-phase code (Q5-code).
